Over the Bridge


It all began with Rudy and Alle, our much beloved companions, still hunting grouse and woodcock, somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge.

Woody ~ BIS BVIS Am Can CH Sunrise Hearts Are Wild JH

What a Wild ride it was with our Woody…..aka The Woodman…..Woodrow. An excellent grouse dog who brought home the bacon year after year, all the while winning WILDY in the show ring with his sparkling presence... Specialty wins, Group Wins and Placements, Best in Show, Best Veteran in Show, National Show Placements... it all seems like yesterday.

As of 2009, some of Woody’s grand get and great grand get have National Specialty Show, Westminster Kennel Club and Regional specialty show wins, placements or Awards of Merit, carrying his legacy forward. Other grandbabies continue to do us proud, bringing home the birds every fall! Thanks to all of you who cheered him on over the years and to those who brought your lovely bitches to him.

Mia ~ Can CH Sunrise N Shannon’s Fire N Ice JH CGC Therapy Dog

Mia, our erstwhile companion, who goes everywhere and loves everyone, but most especially her Woodman!

Nola ~ Am Can CH Shannon's HHH Decidedly Wild JH

Nola started her AKC show career by winning Best Puppy in Sweeps at the Sleepy Hollow Specialty from the 6-9 months class. She followed that up by starting the tradition of a CKC Best Puppy in Sporting Group from junior puppy the first weekend shown. (Being the exuberant Nola, she also added a Best of Breed over Specials and a Sporting Group 4th while winning the Puppy Group).

An American and Canadian Champion, around the Hill she’s known as the “Woodcock Princess”. Bred to Kobe, aka CH Honey Run’s Shifting Gears SH, she’s mother of the Pasta puppies, including our home bred Champion Stud dog, Jammer.

Maura ~ Can CH Crystal’s High Hopes for HHHill

Our lovely Maura, aka Sweetiepeepers…. AKC major pointed and CKC Championship before her career was cut short, she completed all of her CHIC requirements. We were so excited about the Pasta Puppies that we bred Maura to CH Honey Run’s Shifting Gears SH, she was a wonderful mom to the Sweetie litter and just lives to retrieve!
